CURE I.V. Set with Y-Port

Overview

The CURE I.V. Set with Y-Port is a gravity-feed administration set with an extra Y-shaped injection site on the tubing. The Y-port lets clinicians give medication or a secondary infusion through the same line without disconnecting it. Like the standard set, it has a spike, a transparent drip chamber, a roller clamp and a Luer connector.

How to use

1. Close the roller clamp, insert the spike into the container and partly fill the drip chamber.
2. Prime the line to remove air, then connect the Luer end to the IV access device.
3. Clean the Y-port with an antiseptic before each access and inject using aseptic technique.
4. Set the flow with the roller clamp. Use for one patient only.

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Precautions

• For single use only. Do not re-sterilise or reuse.
• Do not use if the packaging is damaged.
• Disinfect the injection port before every access.
• For use by trained healthcare professionals.
